To that end, we offer the highest quality specimens from a carefully chosen pool of donors. Not anyone can get into our donor program -- and we designed it that way. In fact, we accept only one candidate in twenty. Potential donors, who are generally between 18 and 35 years old, must meet strict criteria in several categories. Health is a key consideration. Each candidate must complete a health profile, and our staff assembles a health history of the potential donor and of the candidate's family. We also make subjective but crucial evaluations of a potential donor's intelligence, physical characteristics, looks and personality. And that's not the end. A prospective donor must pass a thorough physical exam conducted by our staff physician and complete three meetings with the physician and lab staff.
