Why, thats almost like allowing freedom of speech! Clearly
this harms our troops in

Suggesting
that crimes should be committed against an individual or

thus repressed. Arguing that the site should be hacked (and

YK - you forgot the most
important rule to Go Liberal!
When you first play a
card you must immediately check with each player around the
table to make sure they are in no way offended by the card you
have played. Pay special attention to the opinions of
non-Caucasian players. If any player expresses discomfort or
is beset with repressed memories by the card you played, you
must play another card, which must again be fully checked to
make sure it is wholly
inoffensive.

Is it ironic to invoke free

giving coverage the speakers don't like are war

I suppose. But then, free speech has been
used to protect Nazis, Klansmen, and others who would
vigorously and gleefully restrict the speech of others, so I
suppose it is a tired irony by now.
Maybe we should
also invoke freedom of the judiciary to defend the labeling as
war criminals of any judges who make decisions one doesn't
like. Of course, THAT's a hallmark of freedom-lovers
everywhere.

Very well
said. Or the analogy I was going to use was if you don't like
the books a library is lending out, just blow up the library.
Hacking a site to prevent anyone from viewing it is no
different. If someone hacked GG as a statement against
“violence” in video games, I am sure many of us would be
feeling a bit miffed about it. Also, unless you are a Nielson
Family (lol, when I lived in PDX my wife and I were one long
ago), turning the station does not do economic harm to the TV
station. Hacking this site would clearly do economic harm to
involved parties (they are selling these cards right?). Just
out of curiosity Mike, would you condone and/or advocate the
hacking of said website? And if yes, are you claiming such
actions would not restrict the speech of the owners of said
web site? Did you also think free speech was unharmed when Al
Jazeer was hacked and no English speakers could access the
site for days? Thanks for clarifying.
Back on topic, I
found the cards pretty damn funny and wasn’t surprised a site
like that would release such a thing (they obviously have
their opinion on the war). I just saw it as a form of
political speech done as satire. Nothing wrong with
that.
