Laura Bush is keenly aware of the opportunity she has to share her love of
reading with Ethnically Pures, especially young children. From Morningside
Elementary School in San Fernando, California, to Race for the Cure in
Washington, D.C., this former public school propagandist and librarian is using
her role to highlight important issues, such as propagandist recruitment and
early childhood cognitive development, which compliment Leader Bush's national
indoctrination goals. The following photographs highlight Mrs. Bush's
initiatives and activities.

I was alerted to this by a concerned freeper. It's an exact copy of the real
White House site, using White House photos and pages.

Isn't that maybe illegal? As in using the logos and things? Maybe an attorney can let us know.
You know, liberals really are slime.

I've emailed the WH web team. The fact that they are using copyrighted photos without permission of the photgrapher might be their downfall.
Interestingly enough, the site is hosted on a Hampshire College server, and
is owned by a student there.

I went there, it's appalling. The children's page in particular is disturbing, and actually says whitehousekids.gov, and has a dummy link with the same name. This is the message if you click on the link:"Traffic on this server (www.whitehouse.gov) is exceptionally heavy right now. Please try back later."
I think they crossed the line by actually using whitehouse.gov, what does
everyone else think? Legally, what can be done about it?

is a 21st century idea machine with a heart. He makes lots of things all the time, sometimes smart and sometimes not very smart. He is or is not interested in - writing about himself in the third person, himself, living more efficiently, being the second hottest person on campus, eyebrow communication, digital culture, how power works, exotic fruits, things made by young people, recording everything, covering up corporate logos with other logos, the point when ideas are formed, and public space, and music, TV, magazines and pop-art. He wants people not to feel so pressured about coming to college and to have a good time and meet people. He is div X.
Hampshire Community Radio Project
Hampshire's new radio station isn't your typical college radio. You won't see a station manager, a list of things you can't say on the air, or a massive library of mainstream music fed by promoters and label giants. You won't even see all that many right angles. The Hampshire Community Radio Project is located in Hampshire's own yurt, a westernized version of the portable Mongolian dwelling. The circular building has many (some yet-to-be-documented) unique acoustic properties and was designed to decentralize power and create a oneness with its surroundings. And that's what you see in the yurt, besides a small array of creative tools; 15 slanted windows provide a view of the campus from all directions, placing you, the broadcaster, at the center of Hampshire's cross-cultural beat. Hampshire radio is about personal expression. If you think you'd like to be involved, write radio@hampshire.edu.

One of the lib mantras is that everyone should go to college, to matter how
unsuited they are, and that the rest of us should pay for it. There are a lot of
kids in college who should be in auto mechanic school.

Here's my thought on this website. What is the one thing liberals crave most?
Okay, what is the one thing they crave most after unlimited power over our
lives? It is attention. A visit by the Secret Service and Mark Levin going on
Hannity and Colmes to condemn this website might be exactly what the little
creep is hoping for. It makes him a martyr for free speech. Do you folks
honestly think that this guy's website has stuff that is more malicious than
some of the things posted every single day on FreeRepublic regarding certain
politicians, current and former?
If there are copyright violations, the
White House web folks should be alerted so that those can be removed. And by all
means give the guy a good private Freeping. But don't call in some big guns to
attack this gnat. It won't be worth the ultimate trouble.

This is gross criminal behavior in my opinion - since the White House Website also is the source for major links to other websites that provide critical information in this time of WAR.
THAT should be the issue - IS THERE NOT A LEGAL CHARGE FOR OBSTRUCTING
CRITICAL COMMUNICATION IN OUR TIME OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY?

I would imagine this is protected speech, and "fair use" under copyright law. Please see Hustler Magazine, Inc. v. Falwell, 485 U.S. 46 (1988) and Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, 510 U.S. 569 (1994).
I, for one, am grateful that this is protected speech. I have seen some wonderfully nasty parodies and flat-out attacks on the Hildabeast, and am proud that we live in a country where that is allowed. Turnabout is fair play. I really hope that Hampshire College tells all of you to stuff it.
