MCF is a very special format, designed for the most versed collectors. It is used with preference of artists working serial and those who dislike colors.

The Monochrome Collector File format is limited to 16 greytones. The data gets stored in blocks with a cross stitch order. A block includes also two 4bit opacity values, one for 4 pixels.
