A Burning Question

I had come only to check in on Tori and Mary Meade, who I had hired to stay with Tori after the fire. I liked to pop in once a day to give Mary a bit of a break.

Sighing, I resigned myself to read a few pages. At this point, I would do anything to make Tori happy. "What do you want me to read?"

"I want a story about resurrection. I can smell that everything is turning green. I can see ... now isn't that a joke ... the buds on the lilac bushes about to burst. Tell me."

It's about tiime she is taking an interest in something, ANYTHING, besides the incident.

Like her vision, the Coalville Library is no more. Other than the churches and the bars, the library was about the only place to find society, to catch up on gossip and even better, get free books. I can still see the building as though it still stands where it had since the coal company abandoned it over half a century ago. I can still smell the place. Learning: have you ever smelled "learning?"

Yes?

No?
