Times Square
|
The city roars...
Times Square’s pulse reminds me of the rhythm of blood circulation.
Streams of cars and pedestrians
in an alternating flow...
The intersection
sucks in the oxidized pedestrians and releases them again when they
are almost out of breath... And again and again...The mass of walkers and vehicles hammers here regularly till
the late hours when the city goes to sleep and quiets down a little.
And I am a blood cell in this gigantic organism... I, too, want to run around and hand out oxygen and sustenance...
But that’s not what I’m actually doing.
Am I a blood cell then? Or just a germ?
