Sometimes I had a feeling that, in those blurry faces passing
by me so hastily, I could see Something I surely knew. I quickly
looked around again, but on this second,
longer look the familiar image
disappeared. I tried to conjure it up
before my eyes, or at least figure
out what the image reminded me
of, but to no avail. It was probably just trying to make fun of me. |
