Walking in Snow

I am the only person I know that had to learn to get used to walking in snow. It was an ungainly but humorous affair. I was working in Central Europe at the time and had never seen so much snow before. Not only does it totally change the landscape in the obvious fashion by throwing down a pristine muffling blanket, it changes they way one physically negotiates and moves around that environment. To walk around the places I visited during that winter, but without snow, would be like visiting totally new cities.
