Space
It has always been the same. When someone wanted to block communication,
they blocked the roads. It's about possession of space.
But does the space really matter today? I know of two recent examples
which show that it doesn't. They are both about Serbia. First, it was
an unreasonable enterprise for Serbs to conquer another land, reintroducing
the 19th century concept, speculating no doubt that times would have a
tendency to repeat. Second, NATO bombed Serbs without even placing a foot
on their land. So much for the importance of space today.
