Report errors in eToys' SEC filings
|
Pick up a
trick from eToys' lawyers and go through all the public SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) filings by eToys looking for errors (they are numerous).
When an error is found, report it to the SEC using this form. Typically, complainants might be potential investors who read about the
stock in one of the recent news articles and found a discrepancy
in the filing which caused them to not purchase the stock. Especially
law-abiding citizens will report the problem to the appropriate authorities.
This is not something that should be
automated: the SEC should only be getting individually researched,
valid complaints. Don't "spam" them and don't send in a complaint
unless you really find something.
