Holy Nellie! This was a fine mess. Damn Internet. Why in hell did I not get his real name and some kind of background on him? Did he know beforehand? When he was writing me emails? No? No. Jake had never been a liar. He's been a coward, but not a liar. Besides, not even the best of actors could fake the surprise his face showed outside when I went up to his truck.
