Williamsburg Bridge
One usually doesn't think about it, but it is in fact possible to cross the Hudson River just by walking over the Williamsburg bridge. I did it once with Goran. It saves you the $ 1.50 fee for the L train. It's a slow departure from or arrival to the City, or both, through walking the railing.
