From Adrienne Vitadini, this is a truly marvelous handbag. Stunning, it will turn eyes everywhere. In addition, it is quite functional, the bag has enough space for a large textbook. Please note, though, one of the sides has lost a portion of the hair b/c of it rubbing against my back. They other side is fine, though.

Eddie Bauer giant red bag. This bag is so large that it can easily exceed the airlines' 70 lbs. limit. Put to many books in there and it will hit 85 lbs. easy. Worried about carrying a bag so big? Worry not, the contoured and padded shoulder strap is one of the best I have come across, plus the two handles make for quite passable backpack-style straps.

Grey Internal Frame Pack. Made by REI, this pack is meant for travel. It has an internal frame, which means that it is rigid, and allows heavy loads to be carried with relative ease. In addition, this pack is the maximum size of the smallest overhead bin currently in use. So it is the biggest size you can safely carry on with you. But if you want to check it, no problem: unlike other frame packs, which the airlines won't let you check because of exposed straps and clips, this bag has a cover that unfolds and zips up to cover all of the straps and clips.

Red Dana Design Party Dog backpack, with fraying shoulderstraps. This is one of the few middle range packs to feature full zip access, (not the top loading kletersac style,) and still have full compression straps. This is an extremely versatile and technical pack. Water repellant.
