I used to take Peter Pan buses from New York to Washington. The bus terminal was located behind the railway station in a typical 'near the railway no-man's land'. It felt a bit scary to walk the distance to the Union Station in the night. Once, I took a cab home. The guy was not a real cabby, he was just someone trying to earn money. His old woman was sitting behind me. I noticed something like a bed in the back of the station wagon. They must have been sleeping in the car.
